The MacArthur School PTO:
A
volunteer organization of
teachers and parents working together to promote the education and well
being of all children at home, in school, and in the community. |
To achieve this we ask that all
parents join our team in some capacity. Through fund raising and
membership fees, the PTO is able to provide educational programs,
equipment, and improvements to the school, as well as supplementing the
cost of many field trips. The PTO also coordinates activities that
encourage family involvement in the MacArthur community such as our
Family Game Night and the PTO Ice Cream Social. |
|
The
parents of the MacArthur School are a vital
resource. Our programs succeed because of their generous donation of
time and energy. The PTO looks forward to welcoming new members, and
anticipates working with you throughout the coming year
.
Membership
All parents, guardians and
faculty of
the MacArthur School are eligible to be a part of the MacArthur PTO by
sending
back the volunteer & voluntary membership dues form given to each
child in October. A PTO member
may attend (and are encouraged!) any or all PTO general and regular
meetings. Regular meetings are
held at 7:00pm at the school, typically the 2nd Tuesday of most school
months
All
parents and faculty of the MacArthur PTO are encouraged to support the
MacArthur PTO by sending in a membership form given to each child in
October. All membership dues are deposited in the PTO treasury to
be used for class allotments, which allows teachers to purchase
additional supplies for his/her classroom. The dues for the
2008-2009 school year will be $15.00 per family. Payment of dues are
encouraged but voluntary.
PTO Volunteer
Opportunities
The MacArthur School PTO committees
sponsor and run many school-wide fund raising programs and social
events for the ultimate benefit of assisting our school in developing
enriching educational experiences for our children.
